I had a Spark “fly away” recently, not a pleasant experience. In my case the connection between the drone and controller was lost (something that has happened many times and never been an issue as it usually re-establishes connection after a short while or initiates RTH) and never reconnected...

Hello all, After suffering a recent premature Spark departure (flyaway) I am interested in a GPS tracker that I can attach to a Spark, Mavic Pro etc. Anyone able to offer suggestions and/or advice in this regard? Much appreciated!

Hello Dave, Thanks for the post, it seems to be a very common problem. I am glad you were able to get it back home safely. I hope the flight withdrawals aren't too bad whilst they sort it out at DJI. It does give me some hope that my bad experience might have a happier ending though...

Why would it switch to Atti mode if it was connected to 18 satellites? Is that normal?

Hello Paul, you are correct, the top one is the last contact with 18 satellites and in Atti mode. I am trying to attach the flight log.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the comment. The screen shot 2 seconds before I lost contact shows GPS mode with 18 satellites connected. It only went into Atti mode after the disconnect. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Hello Andre, Nope, no warnings at all. I have no data after it became disconnected.
