Ok, this actually make more sense to me. If your spark got hit with the radar from the airport, that could have caused it to lose its positioning and possibly even control link. Could have just been overloaded on the radio.

Some of those airspace’s you’re seeing are likely class B or C that doesn’t go all the way to ground level.
