Basic tello is a good choice with VPS,. I don’t know your location, but used tello is less than $100 us and does not cost more for a separate controller. Used packages are available on eBay. It will need an anderoid or smart phone for controller or pictures/video. GPS or htti will cost...

Oops, that was $200 USD per package

Yes the resale market is also changing. I’ve bought two used spark “packages” including the drone, one or two batteries and a controller on eBay for about $200 USD on eBay in the past month! As I’ve learned with my phantom 2’s, batteries eventually become a problem!

Sure this is not real world, but I’ve been in Rc since 1972 and we wouldn’t do anything like this back then! I’ve got my own personal history of “real world” and the Rc equipment back then wouldn’t survive anything like this! Just hope they don’t sell the crash drone on eBay!
