    Video editing software..

I do all of my drone video editing (so far) on my iPad. I use LumaFusion. It’s excellent and costs around $30, if I recall correctly.

One beautiful late winter morning - took a sudden turn!

Glad you enjoyed it. “Documentary” is what I set out to create, with a bit of fun embedded. I try to create stories with my videos as much as I can. But I was pretty sure this particular event would be interesting to many within the drone community, because it offers some lessons but also some...

One beautiful late winter morning - took a sudden turn!

Hi all, the first really nice day this year for taking out my Mavic Air didn't turn out as I expected! Youtube's standard res video doesn't do justice to these little birds' capabilities, so here's a link to the original version for you to stream or download if you prefer to see it in its...

    Hello from Ontario

Wecome from Whitby, Ont, Bryan. The DJI Spark is a fabulous drone; I recently sold mine only because I bought an Air last fall, but I absolutely love the Spark. It's remarkable tough, flies excellent and takes great video. You'll find a lot of great help here, and there are quite a few of us...

    power lines

I fly around high tension power lines regularly without any interference. And this is what I would expect because, regardless of the voltage these lines are carrying, they are alternating the current at only 60 cycles per second (60Hz). So while the amplitude (strength) of the radio waves...

    Registration

Interesingly enough (an FYI only), in Canada both the pilot and drone are registered. The pilot has a registration # with Transport Canada that identifies the license type (basic or advanced), and any drone(s) that the pilot intends to fly must be registered, each drone being assigned a unique #...

    WARNING: Magnetic force issues!

This has happened to me on more than one occasion. It is kind of disconcerting the first few times, but I am kind of used to it now and know that I still have control of the bird, even if I don’t know where it is for a brief period. My primary concern is making sure it’s high enough that it...

    Registration

You might want to re-consider using any permanent markings, as this might diminish the resale value in the event you decide to sell your Spark.

Spark Fly More for sale (Canada) with lots of high end extras - $550CDN

:) I love the little Spark and was blown away by its capabilities, being an “entry-level” drone and all (which it really isn’t, IMO). I always intended to move up the product line at some point, and had been seriously contemplating the Mavic 2 Pro. But in the end I couldn’t justify spending that...

    Mavic mini

It also seems to me that the Mini has no LEDs, which precludes night flight, which is allowed here in Canada with the appropriate lighting. The LEDs on the Spark are also useful as status indicactors in my mind.

    Sparky at the Resort

Really nicely done, RW! Seems you’ve pretty much mastered the smooth moves, and the colours look great.

    A few pics

Really great shots, RW! Especially love the sunset one, of course. All the footage in my recently posted video of Indian Harbour was shot Tuesday and Wednesday, just before Dorian blew through on Thursday. In fact on both days the wind was pretty stout ahead of the storm and so a lot of my...

WTB working controller in useable condition for a reasonable price

This is precisely why I stopped using an OTG cable after using it once. I found that torque on the connector resulted in it becoming extremely loose, to the point that there wasn’t enough friction left in the connection to maintain a good data connection. I’ve never once wished I had an OTG...

    Northport Harbour

Nicely done, RW. Really nice work with the gimbal and great transitions. I actually went to YouTube and watched it there so I could see it full screen. Look forward to more.
