When can you consider the spark old ?

I would suggest that when it is no longer doing the job you bought it for either through crashing or you need something better, or component failure. I have a 3 Pro and a 4 Pro and I wold not get rid of my Spark ever. A great little craft for just havig a blast without the formalities of flying...

    Iron Man edition of Tello.

Let us hope that this is not DJI’s announcement of the year for their new product. If so the future of drones, at least from them, is in the wrong hands.

    Preserving Our Community

I wonder if I;t should just be hobbyists in the US. Ia this not an international problem? I would also add substantial disappointment with the newly formed bodies set up to represent commercial pilots at least here in the UK. During the Gatwick fiasco they were notable by their silence. All of...

    Selling footage

Why not try a display in the local library or shopping mall? Try also getting images on display in local picture framers?

    Wind

The advice about the numbers above is very sound, and there are indeed some very good apps around to tell you about wind speed forecasts. But they are only forecasts and not predictions, and you need to have a way of assessing the wind at your own site. Perhaps I am biased, having been involved...

Where (edited by Moderator) can I fly in the UK !!!

I fly down at the beach a few yards from my home. I am lucky. If you have nothing like that there are a number of things you can do. Firstly ask the council for a copy of the regulations that they say prevent you from flying. I doubt there will be any. The CAA govern flights so you can fly over...

Breaking News: Drones Shut Down New Jersey Airport

Absolutely correct. It is VERY rare that such a retraction will be seen in the UK media at least. I certainly never see our ‘professional’ bodies speaking up on our behalf to show how most of these ‘sightings’ could not possibly be one of our aircraft.

Breaking News: Drones Shut Down New Jersey Airport

Certainly cannot disagree there. There have been some bad press for us pilots lately and there is more to come. Sadly they never highlight the good times when drones help people or save their lives. For that matter neither do we pilots promote the good things about what we do. Any ideas how we...

Absolutely no Flying for us UK owners all weekend.

Not been flying properly for some time. I had a quick burst around a car park at a hotel a few days ago, but then the rain came. Living where I do I get lots of rain or trouble with wind ( no not that sort). Building an indoor drone for myself now, but already have an Eachine E10 which is great...

    Registration in the U.K

I suspect it will be online as much stuff for drones by the CAA is moving there. As to cost methinks the ‘new’ registration system will be cheap to start with to capture as many as possible, but rapidly increase to generate income. As a PfCO holder I know how expensive that is. If they intend to...

Gatwick: Man and woman questioned over 'criminal use of drones'

I am saddened for the people who were wrongly accused, and I am also saddened that this incident has occurred. It highlights the deficiencies in the system, and simply begs a repeat show. However, we are now seeing our ‘government’ suggesting that stronger regulation is needed. Once more the...

Gatwick: Man and woman questioned over 'criminal use of drones'

Let us trust thatit was not a trial run for terrorists who may attack multiple airports.

    Spark in thr uk

Myunderstanding is that your spark will adapt to the location, so you should be fine. Follow the U.K. drone code, keep below 400ft and VLOS., as well as the usual safety concerns. No need to register yet if you are just taking images for your own use. Look up the CAA website if you are not...

Happy Holiday! Go Place with spark!

I would take myself, my wife and my own little spark and go to Iceland. But sadly I cannot fly because my lungs are failing. Best of luck to everyone else.
