Has the Mavic Mini replaced the Spark?

When MA2 Waypoint SDK is released, I'll buy it. I'm using Spark for land survey, so waypoint mode is a must.

New to Litchi - I lost my drone :(

Sorry for your loss. I also had my drone lost before, so I know the feeling. Anyway, your flight record is a bit strange. Looks like the drone didn't go through the waypoints, but went straight south east all the way to Terry Rd. But since your drone is above Terry Rd when her battery was down...

worth buying spark 2020 or mini

If you're into free style flying, Mini is the better choice I think. Longer battery time and further controller range. If you rely heavily on waypoint, Mini has no support yet... so Spark would be better in this area. Then again, Spark's 2-axis gimbal shows its limitation on maneuvering during...

    Sad new pilot here

Sorry for your loss. I know how it feels, because I also lost the Spark less than a month since we bough it. Now, you can contact DJI via email and tell them your case, OR you can go to their forum at DJI FORUM, open a new thread, and post your story/case there. There bound to be a DJI...

    Spark only using 5.8GHz

The fake GPS app fools DJI Go 4 which shows "different country" message and activates the FCC channels. But sometimes, DJI Go 4 will revert to CE channels even when I use fake GPS app. So... I don't know. These days I seldom flies in free style mode but almost always in waypoint mode using DJI...

How to get used to flying Farther...

Sandisk Extreme Pro. A bit overkill for recording 1080p with Spark, perhaps. But I just want an ease of mind. And if any problem still happens to the GPS mode, that means I can remove the SD card from the checklist of potential culprits.

    Spark only using 5.8GHz

I use fake GPS app to make the Spark thinks it is flying in a country that supports FCC mode. It works, sometimes. If you're doing a survey but hindered by CEE mode, you might want to fly with apps that support waypoint mode. So that you can fly past the signal range.

How to get used to flying Farther...

When I was flying and recording videos using the slower micro SD card, my Spark always loses its GPS mode in EVERY flight. Then one day I forgot to bring the SD card and decided to just fly the Spark around without doing any recording. That's when I notice that the Spark didn't lost the GPS...

How to get used to flying Farther...

Our chief weapons are signal booster, GPS mode, and fast micro SD card :) Yeah, really. For me there is no bigger fear than losing my GPS mode and switching to ATTI mode when the drone is out of my LOS. And I found out that using crappy cheap micro SD card resulted in a switch to ATTI mode in...

Battery condition after more than one year?

Good to know that. May I ask, how many kilometers or miles that you have logged?

    Spark apps

UAV Forecast is nice to have, also check windy.com before you fly. For an extra peace of mind, try to fly with waypoints using DJI Go 4 MOD (search in this forum) in combination with DJI Mission (available on Google Play Store). You can plan your flight offline, maximize your flight time, and...

Battery condition after more than one year?

Dear Spark owners, I'm just wondering, for those of you who have flew the Spark frequently for more than one year, or have logged more than 1000 km, when did you start to notice any decline in battery health related to the flight time? And how many seconds/minutes? Thanks.

Does anyone else trust themselves more than the Spark?

Depends on the goal, I think. My job requires me to do aerial survey on land plots. And Spark's flight time is premium (yes, we can only afford Spark at the moment :p ). I flew the first flights manually. Free-flight for an aerial survey is just not feasible, too much time wasted trying to...

    Autonomous mission

I can imagine those minutes of waiting to regain your signal. Alas, the lack of an actual 3rd gimbal axis on Spark really shows here. I wonder though if the same route is flown on a drone with 3-axis gimbal, like say Mavic Air, will the result be better....

What altitude does sound become invisible?

I flew my Spark at 100 meters and it was clearly audible.
