I have noticed that I can't make my camera go up past the horizon. On the screen it will shows "2 dots" up yet it will not go up further. Meanwhile, if I take a pano shot, it does go up to take the necessary pictures. Is that by design?

Same for me. Doesn't matter what the setting is, it just keeps on flying away ;) even past the max distance limit I have in the settings.

So would it be recommended to do a calibration when first using the Spark after unboxing it?

It only gives distance. Mine only goes up 'sometimes' too.

If any one is wondering, I did find the slider for the Dronie fly away distance setting. It appear is you long press the "Dronie" icon once that mode has been activated. In my case it deposit work anyway and Spark just flys back for ever until I stop it.

Thanks! I found out it will palm land if I select "gesture" as the flight mode which is fair enough.

How far back does yours go for a Dronie and did it come back once finished? I have interrupted all my tests as it just kept on going and going ;) the farthest it went during that mode is 120 meters. I noticed that the ascent rate varies depending on what the target to be tracked is.
