Here is another picture is taken over Bond Lake (which is now frozen and snow covered) at Richmond Hill.
The background is Yonge Street and further away is a newer subdivision.
In the foreground, there was an electrical generating station which powers the electric railway Metropolitan line that runs from Toronto all the way to Lake Simcoe in the late 1800 to early 1900s. The abandoned house apparently used to be a substation (and then private residence later). The foundation of the powerhouse lies nearby. The house appears in poor condition with holes in the roof.
