what's the best USB charging cord for the remote. I want something much better/reliable than the cable that came with the spark. thanks

I'm surprised you found the USB charging cable from DJI unreliable. Maybe yours got kinked and caused internal damage to wiring. Sometimes the connector surfaces become bent causing loose contact.
All but the skinniest diameter cords seem to work well. I've had best results with the thicker cables that were originally packaged with quality electronic devices. Those name brand manufacturers have better quality control. Thicker cables carry current more efficiently and less prone to kinking.
