Just waiting for my Spark to arrive. Am I correct that in order to purchase the DJI support package I need to purchase it from the DJI site within two days of receipt? (Not purchased direct from DJI)

You may have the option to purchase it via the DJI Go app

I think it is maximum 2 days after first activation. And yes it is on www.dji.com/service/djicare-refresh; through Go4 app / store or maybe also during the activation process (don't remember).
