Gesture mode stopped working

Hi all, My Spark has been in storage for around 9 months, so I fired it up and it works fine except I have no gesture controls. They are active in the menu and the drone has the latest firmware. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Go 4 app. Still can't get any of them to function. When trying palm launch the red lights blink a couple times though the camera doesn't do its usual facial scan. There's no gesture icon in the Go 4 app screen. Any ideas?

Update: After doing a lot of trouble shooting I think I've narrowed it down to the spark's wifi that cuts in and out. If I just turn the drone on and not the RC I can do a palm launch, but as soon as the RC's back on and connected to my phone nope. Any suggestions on fixing the wifi (if indeed that's the problem) before I take it in for repair?

Fixed! Took it to a repair shop, he rolled back the firmware and gesture controls are back!
