I'm planning a short clip of a neolithic temple here in Malta.
The idea is to fly around the temple, then position myself in the centre and rise vertically with the gimbal pointing straight down - to take in the entire temple.
I've planned it on the mission hub but during the rise, the drone spins. How do I stop this please?
At WP4 the heading is 316degs, I made sure WP5 is heading at 316degs, but it still spins every time I run the the virtual mission on GE. How do I stop this please?
This is the link to the Mission Hub mission:
.

Okay, litchi mission is set to point towards POI 1.
Check this by dragging wp3 or other, it will still point head to POI 1.
Either delete POI or manually adjust heading on waypoints.
You run mission with curved turns, this will prevent your bird to fly through the exact waypoint.
Maybe change curved to straight..
There is also a distance limit between waypoints, not sure what the minimum is.
I've always assumed you cannot place two waypoint "on top of each other".
Other than that, this mission should be possible to run with some minor changes is Hub settings/waypoints.

Good luck!

Many thanks for your reply.
With curved turns, the bird changes heading, with straight lines it does not - will try your suggestion. Thanks.
Yes, you can do two WPs on top of each other for a vertical rise/descent. I've used this technique many times over the years.

Thanks again

I think you can combine curved and straight in same mission.
Maybe as simple as: Do set POI to "none" on WP4/5 and manually change heading on those two.
Have to try this one day, thanks for the idea!

I'm showing off here! But check this out:
Specifically at 0:37 and at 1:30

It really works well

Beautiful and almost unreal shooting location.
Your sticks are great, also your eye for details.
Very well done, most enjoyable video!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And I greatly appreciate your comments.

You should visit Malta, great place and full of history.

I drove around Norway a few years ago - but did not have a drone then. What a magnificent country you live in. Absolutely beautiful.

This creek was used used by the Knights of St John to berth and repair their galleys. They were evicted by Napoleon in 1789. Later, from 1801 until 1964 the creek was used by the British Royal Navy. Today the boats you see are all privately owned yachts. And, no, mine isn’t there!
