Hello everyone, checking in from the DFW area.

After a long period of drooling, I finally got my first drone, a Spark.

Now, 48 hours in and 30 minutes of flight time later, I’m a veteran! Okay I’m kidding, I still suck at it, but I’m looking forward to learning from the seasoned folks here on this forum.

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving (for the US members)

Chip.

Thank you for the welcome.
I’m still flying via phone, so much left to learn
Consider getting a remote for it as it will add a whole new dimension and usability to it.

I usually fly with my iPhone 7 too. It's convenient since it's always in my pocket.

Edit: Ah, if you meant only a phone (and no remote controller), you will enjoy flying even more with a remote controller. The Spark is much easier to control.

iPhone X here, I will probably get a controller tomorrow.
60 feet just isn’t high enough.

You'll also enjoy Sport mode. The Spark is pretty slow when Sport mode is disabled.
