Photo's out of focus

Good day.

As a drone owner of over 3 years (P-2, P-3, Inspire 1 and Mavic Pro, DR3 among others) I am excited about the size of the Spark and what the capabilities.are. I've been playing with mine for over a month. It fly's great.

My drone use is an extension to my photography and picture quality is a must.

I do realize that the Spark does not have the capability of providing the quality of some of my other drones. However, none of my pictures are in focus.

Am I doing something wrong? I've tried searching online for a solution, but can't find one.

The DJI manual doesn't address focus. At least I can't find it.

Is anyone else having this issue? What is the resolve? I'm hoping it's me not doing something. The Spark is a great little tool and I look forward to using it. However, without focused pictures it is of little use to me.

Mike,

There are no settings that can affect or change the focus with the Spark so if your photos are out of focus, it's likely a defect. I would start a chat with DJI support, send them some examples and have it replaced.. Having said that, don't expect too much from the camera.

Maybe post a photo here for us to see?

Contacted DJI and they recommended loading DJI Assistant 2 on my computer and refreshing the firmware.

Said that it should fix the issue.

I've done that. Will fly later and test.

BTW, I have to say, I'm very impressed with DJI chat.

Was taken care of almost immediately and given a solution.

Light years better than when I first had issue with my P-2 a few years back.

Kudo's to them for improving their suport service.

Now I hope the solution works.

I refreshed the firmware and flew the Spar for some testing.

What is loaded to the phone is still out of focus, however, the same pics on the SD card are fine.

So I guess all is well.

I think the issue is worked out.

Love flying this little thing. DJI has really blown the competition away.
Can only be better with sharp pictures.

So I’m kinda going through the same issues but both the video and pictures INSIDE are out of focus

Indoor in poor light might give you blurry photos but it's about noise reduction and/or motion blur, not focus.
