PolarPro filter app for Android

My daughter and SiL gave me a 3 pack of subject filters (FP, ND8, ND16) for my birthday. I haven't tried any of them yet, but paperwork included in the package mentions a free app from PolarPro. There are a lot of negative reviews on the PlayStore, but many more positives. I've read a bit in the forums and watched some YouTube stuff on filter usage, but was wondering if anyone has used the app and if it is worthwhile.

I believe the PolarPro app just makes recommendations re settings for your camera and what filter to use. You’ll be fine using the filters without the app. PolarPro includes a user’s guide with your filters suggesting which one to use under what lighting conditions.

Don’t sweat the app too much one way or the other.

Thanks, Medley, that was my impression as well. Some of the PolarPro app's features such as local weather conditions and such are redundant since I use UAV Forecast anyway. I'll experiment with the filters and camera settings. It seems pretty straight forward if the user has some knowledge of camera basics.
