RC update

Quite a while ago there were a lot of people that got their controllers bricked by update. Then I heard someone tell that it should not be done through the device but instead through pc with the Assist program.

Anyone that can confirm what is right and wrong? Is it possible to update without bricking?

I have had the Spark since it's 2017 release and all the updates I have done were by using the WiFi.

I would download the update using the home WiFi, and then switch to the Spark WiFi to install it when prompted.

I have the assistant on my PC but never used it.

Yes I guess that too bc there were many, many people complaining about bricking the controller. Hope anyone can bring some light to this matter
