anyone else have trouble getting their mini-USB into their controller to recharge it? Mine is so tight that I'm worried I'm going to damage the controller putting the supplied lead in. When it's in the LED lights don't light up when it's plugged into a power source suggesting it's not working

on the spark R/C it's a micro usb not a mini, it's actually quite loose with the micro usb

He would have to be using a micro as a mini would not even go into a micro outlet.
Not even with force.

Have you got it oriented right?

Forgive me calling it a mini. It just be a micro and be compatible as its the eland that was supplied with the controller. Looking at it, the socket is faulty as there is no gap between the pins and the bottom of socket.

Thanks for that. Is there a very very small gap between the pins and the outside of the female socket?

Strange..... most Micro USB receptacles are notched so you can't plug the cord in wrong.
Here's a close-up of the one on my phone.

For whatever reason, DJI's receptacle on the Spark RC doesn't have these notches.
So it is possible to insert the plug wrong. Hmmmm.......

Yes it's definitely a design fault where the terminal board could get damaged or moved. Not sure if this Is what happened to mine the first time I tried to charge it or if it was faulty from the factory

Just learned about this from another thread as well.
Apparently the one on the controller is micro USB A port and the normal with notched (trapezoid shape) one is micro USB B port.
B will fit A but not the other way around.
