I pre-cache and leave the app running. I don’t totally shut down the iPad. When I get to my destination, I bring the app up and the cached maps are still available. You just can’t close the app in transit.

Quick update: I spent the majority of the day flight testing the Spark and Mavic Pro Platinum on my iPad Pro 10.5 on iOS 11.2.2. With GO4 version 4.2.4. The Mavic Pro Platinum flies perfect so far. Zero issues to report and range seems to be the same (I’ll test this better this weekend)...

I own both the MPP and a Spark. My MPP is much quieter than my Spark.

Update on above: So OTG still working great, no glitches and no video feed issues, it’s rock solid. I tried without OTG (WiFi only) and the video feed is terrible and pretty much unusable.

I’m guessing this issue affects airdata.com as well.

So does changing this actually change the RC’s WiFi channel to the AC or is this just for the phone-to-RC WiFi connection?

Does this log issue affect Airdata.com? My log uploads have been failing since I upgraded and couldn’t figure out why.

My Spark is actually a good-bit louder than my Mavic Pro Platinum. It has a high-pitched tone that travels a pretty good distance as compared to my MPP, which has a low-frequency hum.

It’s a 12” braided USB to Lightning cable made by Smatree (that I use for my Mavic) with a OTG adapter made by REMAX.
