I am able to have my iPad mini in the case with no problem but haven’t tried a larger tablet.

Don’t you need to put to take it off airplane mode to be able for the map to be able to update/use in Google Earth view mode? I like that rather than map mode for reference.

I do indeed have a controller. Have the OTG issues been resolved now? I remember reading that they had compatibility problems... in fact I had tried one a few months ago and I got a "weak transmission signal" error. I haven't tried it again with later updates of the DJI GO 4 app (ios).

Had my first fly-away scare... but it turned out well after all. I was flying over the construction site where my new home is being built, and about 30 seconds into the flight I got a "disconnect" notice... and it didn't reconnect automatically. The drone rotated and started flying away, or so...

This was a problem that I had with the OTG cable and iPhone SE before the update... but no more issue now! Yay!

After a lot of casual experimentation, here’s my first “nice” clip with my 1-week-old Spark — a reveal of Mt Ranier.

I have a year of experience of flying an indoor “toy” drone, and opened the Spark Fly More Combo a few days before Christmas as an early gift from my wife. I watched a couple of “Spark Beginner” videos on YouTube, went through the compass and IMU calibration and suggested settings...

I’ve done indoor/toy drone flying off and on for a year and enjoy it. I just got my first “serious” drone as an early Christmas present from my wife... a Lava Red Spark in a Fly More Combo. I’m looking forward to interacting with the group here!
