If you want to have a much more reliable video signal then your best option in a CE country is to force the rc and spark to operate in FCC mode. Easy to do to and no impact on warranty (I’ve tested that already).

Hey Chris, yeah the spark will RTH if your phone switches off just as if u had an RC. The forward OA sensors are infrared on the spark so should not cause an issue. It’s the downward sensors that can get confused if flying low over reflective surfaces. I’ve never turned mine off though but...

That’s some distance! The joys of FCC mode. We’re lucky to get 500metres here although I’ve just got some parabolic reflectors so I’ll give them a shot and see what I can get in CE mode.

The aircraft control range should be the same provided you are using an OTG cable with the android phone. Think there may be some variation with the image though depending on the amount of bloatware installed and spec of the phone.
