When you use the RC all communication with the AC goes through RC. The RC then passes data to your phone/tablet (video feed, etc.)

For me its about having more stable connection at even at shorter ranges. That said, I'm not a rabid OTG advocate. If it works great, if does not.. oh well.

you can still connect to via controller or phone, whichever it is setup for. I'd keep it handy in those cases. I always use the controller, but always also to gesture control launch using the double tap on the battery, I then go into the app and change it from gesture to "normal"

You can also stop the quickshot in its tracks if its going to hit a tree or something, by hitting the pause button on the remote or hitting stop in app. The button on remote stops it quicker than the button in the app. Quickshots don't work if video recording is in progress, it will auto start...

It's very easy to lose sight of the spark. When I fly if it is more than 100 meters out, I can't find it anymore. I try to always pick out a landmark so that if sparky was to go into ATTI and I can't see it to fly it, hopefully then I'll be able to quickly pan around find the landmark and fly...

I wouldn't hold my breath. My assumption is that OTG working was a side effect of recycling code - there is a fair amount of quirky and inconsistent behavior using OTG with spark, and the fact that it was not being addressed, makes me think that as the sparks code inside Go4 diverges...
