I’m having the same problem. My original Spark was replaced by DJI and flew fine for a couple of months. Then it wouldn’t take off until IMU was calibrated. I’ve tried to do that many times and always get dreaded “IMU 1: Calibration Failed. Automatic Orientation Error. (Error Code-50).

Send it in to DJI. I had the same problem. My Spark was still in the warranty time period and they sent me a new one. Great service from DJI Support.

I had a similar problem with my Spark. It wouldn’t take off and kind of bounced up and down hitting the ground. I sent it in to DJI support and just got a different Spark sent to me. It was still under warranty so there was no charge. I flew it yesterday and it worked perfectly.

I’m happy tp report that DJI Support totally came through for me and are going to repair my Spark for free. The problem was simply that it wouldn’t take off, but just bounced up and down hitting the ground. Thank you Ken and the rest of the Support Team!

I’m in Hawaii and the temperature would have been mid 80’s. Thank you for the reply. I’ll try cleaning the sensors next as the second person suggeste.
