Sparky was used for a whole new job today!

Did you have 100kt winds? If that is a Spark, it seemed so Unstable...! Looked like very wobbly sports mode.

Don’t fly your drone in Atti

Haha just saw these from earlier - My first Multi was Counter-rotating Heli's, had a couple of quite expensive ones...Loved them. Then tried to move to a CP 3D unit. Wrecked in a Day - never flown again, and switched back to my beloved Fixed Wings. But now I'm loving the fluidity you get with...

Don’t fly your drone in Atti

Just going to assume you are asking me...As Richard Rucket said - You need to use an older version - v1.1.2 Something further - Have to applaud the response I got from DJI on my busted up spark...I logged the Crash about mid-week last week, received the Label to send back on Friday - took it...

Don’t fly your drone in Atti

If anyone wants confirmation of whether it goes faster in Atti than Sports - the answer is HELL YES! I did find that out the hard way, with unfortunately a crash which I am now about to send it off for a Replacement (there was actually a height failure on the Baro and VPS too which caused it to...

Don’t fly your drone in Atti

I found also that I was pressing the Enter key on the NumberPad and it was reverting - so best use the MAIN enter key on your keyboard.

Soon to be booted from DJI forum

Sorry missed this earlier - I'm about 20 mins away from there...but don't often travel down that way...and pretty sure it would tilt the Weird'o'meter to just walk in and ask if they really do the servicing, etc. I would be reasonably confident they might do Minor repairs, and possibly even...

Soon to be booted from DJI forum

Well I am in Aus too - in Vic - Eastern Suburbs. Limited to 5.8Ghz - where did you read that? You can use 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz, all my other transmitters are 2.4ghz Or are you saying that as far as since 2.4 is so congested the Preference is 5.8Ghz (which although faster, limits your range.) I...

Soon to be booted from DJI forum

have you always been using the iPhone while flying... just wondering if you have tried it with the remote control only and conversely to this, tried it without the remote control but just the iPhone. Also if you install the DJI assistant you should be able to download a whole lot of diagnostics...

Soon to be booted from DJI forum

Can you elaborate on your setup? As an example I went for a fly during the week and after one flight with Litchi and some waypoints - I returned to home, then when I went to take off again it hopped for a bit, then landed suddenly. It didn't even power down either. Then I changed the battery...

    NEVER FLY IN FOG

Now that you mention it I think I might have brushed past a comment regarding the Comparitive Image being taken, When landing I often take control anyway - sometimes landing on a platform I have on the back of my Ute/Truck (which I can't take off from as it screws the compass.) I did some work a...

    NEVER FLY IN FOG

I'm curious as to whether the Bottom camera is nothing more than a CCD Sensor which picks up the IR bounced from the two IR "holes" - or whether they are independant, and the 2 sensors are send and receive, and the Camera has a bit of Object detection written into it - fairly easy to do even...

    NEVER FLY IN FOG

I think regardless of the messages we are seeing - (all of which seem to be slightly different) - and slightly different symptoms (yours ascended quickly, whereas mine said it was doing so, but instead just hovered because it also kept thinking it had reached the ground...) The reality is - the...

    NEVER FLY IN FOG

I believe you are sort of on track - IMHO it isn't that it "Can't see the ground" - in this situation I think the IR and bottom mount camera act in reverse and feel there IS a solid object already at close proximity - I have noted this in my post that sometimes when you get too close to ground...

    NEVER FLY IN FOG

This is 100% not BS - I concur with the other Posters mentioning the IR sensors. I have just returned from a session where I wanted to get some shots of the Sunrise, which I realised over the whole valley would look spectacular. Everything seemed fine in the first few moments - it had 10 sats...
