    Violated pigeon airspace

We have raptors around here so you learn sport mode and straight up.. I go straight up to dodge the attack, then up and home. You can usually fly higher than the birds are willing to go. Most birds can't chase something that reverses and goes straight up, they need to dive or have speed...

    Spark drifting

Does it drift when using hand gestures and no remote? Or use the phone/tablet with no remote. It can isolate it to the aircraft or the remote.

    Flyaway spark

I do wish that the Spark had an Atti Mode you could switch on.. Or a "beginner mode" then "intermediate training" with GPS off... Many of the people I have talked to that had a "Fly Away" did not know how to fly a drone without GPS... I have had mine lose GPS and being at altitude the...

    Truth about DJI Care Refresh

    Battery Management

Worst thing to do: (what everyone wants to do) Get done flying and recharge batteries to 100% and then put it into their bag and throw it in the car so you can be ready to go if you see something or someplace fun to fly! Doing this will destroy the lipo batteries. Which means the cells can...

Contra Costa County places to fly

I say just find somethings you are interested in and do your proper preflight. There are lots of apps that assist and some even will show you where the local aircraft are. Know the rules of the road in the area you're going to fly in. If you're new, stay close to you, and stay away from...

    Bay Area

UAS Aircraft may fly in G airspace. If you or your aircraft end up on their property they can fine you according to their land use rules.
