    Cannot fly a strait line.

straight flight was my constant struggle with Spark. it can be caused by few things: uncalibrated Compass might be throwing it from straight line - calibrate on some wide open space without any metal around (even underground) uncalibrated IMU can cause Spark to hover and fly unleveled and...

    NEVER FLY IN FOG

bottom IR sensors are easy to get confused. The only way to descend through the fog safely (not considering humidity which is dangerous for any unprotected electronic device) is to disconnect bottom sensors. Other drones like Mavics have an option to disable Landing protection which is pretty...

Precision Landing almost caused a crash

definitely agree with you - it's better to land it by yourself.

Precision Landing almost caused a crash

this happened to me once when I climbed and took off to the side probably before Spark was able to make a reference picture for precision landing. On returning, the pop up showed up saying "Correcting Aircraft position" and it went for landing in the middle of the road (i flew across it straight...

Spark problem with first Litchi takeoff

are you using purchased version of Litchi or you've found it somewhere on the internet? From what I heard, the unofficially shared versions mostly have some glitches in them (not sure if accidenpretty often including Compass issues (which is what probably happened to you). BTW ten satellites is...

    Spark Tap Fly

I don't know what was happening exactly but perhaps you were tapping too high. Not sure but I guess you need to tap below horizon line. just my guess

question about flying over concrete path

it could be because of bottom sensors. If the path was smooth and kinda single-colored, the sensors (they are also used for stabilization when aircraft is flying low) might get confused and having a hard time keeping the drone steady especially if it was in low light conditions. Also concrete...

    Drone technics.

nice video, keep up the good work. BTW the upwards going Quickshot mode is called Rocket, not Bullet.

    Abstract Fields

you're right. the first one with the tree is just a quick single shot and the other two are panoramic shots, each composed from 9 pictures (strongly resized but the original resolution is around 25 Megapixels).

    Abstract Fields

actually it's pretty nice. I believe it's called minimalism and lot of drone photographers are doing it (including myself).

    Mavic Pro or Mavic Air

I've kinda had all of these drones (still having Spark and Mavic Air). Did an upgrade from Spark to Mavic Pro at the first place but decided to return it after few weeks because of very bad case of horizon tilt issue that ruined like half of my shots. Coincidentally somebody offered me Mavic...

Moving down from a Mavic Pro

I believe it depends on limitations of sensors. Maybe MA has new version of obstacle avoidance capable of working in higher speed and reacting in shorter time (up to 8m/s effective detecting speed according to DJI specs).

Moving down from a Mavic Pro

Like you say - with Air it's around 30kph in P-mode with sensors on or off according to my flight records. Switching sensors off doesn't make any speed difference like it does on Spark so if I don't plan flying through some tight gap it's definitely no problem leaving them on all the time.

Moving down from a Mavic Pro

Exactly. I do side movement and yaw shots pretty frequently and this horizon tilt would ruin pretty much all of my shots. It made me sad since I really really liked everything else about the Pro but I couldn't get used to this issue as everybody told me. If I put it this way, it's like buying an...

Moving down from a Mavic Pro

I don't know about M2 but with Air there's no such issue (maybe a little in very heavy winds where the tilt range of gimbal isn't enough to cope with aircraft movement). But in comparison with M1 the Air and M2 has more sturdy gimbal assembly (on M1P I was always in worry of breaking it apart).
