    Circular Waypoint Missions with Litchi

I've had a DM recently from T'Jingles, who has added significant functionality to this tool. He's posted this over on the Litchi forums forums.flylitchi.com

    Drone for mainly single-handed use

Thank you for the suggestions. I don't know this chap well, or the detail of his health issues, but I'll pass on the suggestions.

Not a Spark. but this is quite crazy, flown through goggles.

Goggles should come with the sort of path-prediction lines that are found on in-car reversing cameras. Rather harder to implement in a 3-d environment, but it would make this sort of thing a lot easier.

    Drone for mainly single-handed use

My dad mentioned that a friend of his was interested in drone flying. This chap isn't in the best of health, and has only limited use of one hand. Are there any special tools or controllers that would be useful to him? - I thought of the new stick-controller that I've seen linked to the FPV...

    Recommended replacement propellers UK stock

So, having retrieved my drone from 30' up a tree yesterday, I've used up most of my remaining stock of OEM props. Did you try these, nija_geezer, and were they any good? I think I'd rather have the convenience of the folding design than the quietness of the MAS ones.

    Realistic range ?

I am happy to reccommend the 'Fake GPS Location Professional' app, which is free, despite its name, and very easy. 'Fake GPS Location PROFESSIONAL - Apps on Google Play' It only needs to be used once, as long as one remembers to tap 'cancel' wen the drone asks permission to reset itself to the...

    Realistic range ?

Using the Spark in FCC mode gives more power to the transmitters, which will be part of the difference. You can force the Spark to use this mode wherever you are, either with a firmware hack or by spoofing the GPS.

    photo quality indoor shooting

I don't have any specific information about the Spark camera, but in general digital cameras don't suffer much additional noise on the sensor until they're getting towards the top of the range of ISO seetings they can offer. Acceptable noise depends a lot on the composition and on your...

“Week image transmission signal” AND “Command time out”

It's like a USB cable, but with different wiring internally. It replaces the wi-fi link between the phone/tablet and the RC, and some find this allows a better connection between the controller and the aircraft. There are a lot of posts on here abut them, and they can be bought easily on line...

    Is this a dumb question?

The wifi communication is two-way, so the phone - RC - Aircraft route described above is also reversed. The point is that if an RC is used, there's no direct communication between the phone and the aircraft.

    DJI FPV drone reviews

DC Rainmaker generally reviews sports tech, mainly cycling and running, but he also does a number drone reviews. He's independent and if he likes a bit of kit he's been sent to review, he buys his own. I won't buy anything in this field without checking if he's done a review of it. His review...

Weak transmission signal on two sparks...

Hi, Brian, What was the orientation of the antenna on the RC? It still sounds low, but a combination of that with some interference from neighbouring wifi or power lines might be an explanation.

"Drone tilted, place it on a flat surface before taking off" - while flying?!

I've had Litchi tell me that the drone was tilted, but not the second half of the message. I've assumed that the messages came up when the Spark was having to tilt itself more than a certain amount to hold position into the wind; that have been on windy days rather than still ones, IIRC. Nik

    camera coverage

The published Field of View for the Spark is 82 degrees. The necessary maths is 2*Tan(82/2) which says that the width of the field of view is 1.7 times the distance from the object. HTH Nik
