Charging the battery using the quad contacts?

I am curious, can you fly the spark and land on the charging station, let it charge and then take off, without needing touch the spark or turn on/off the batteries?

I don't supposed anyone has tried stop and start in midair?

Thanks for the responses. I read the manual, and I thought the emergency stop works. Maybe too many ppl accidentally triggered it, DJI had to disable the function, instead of repairing/replacing crashed drones. I've a friend who has racing drones, and doing lots of stunts with it. One of it is...

I don't supposed anyone has tried stop and start in midair?

I am not game enough to try with my Spark, but I had been thinking a few times, would it be possible to fly way up high, stop the motors (joystick combo), let it free fall a little, and start motor back up, recovering just before it hits the ground? I suppose it is possible, just heart-breaking...

Hi! Lugging my Spark batteries to Australia

Traveled on QantasLink last month. Put my Spark and batteries (1 on the Spark and another just in the battery compartment) in the carry bag that came with the Fly More option. Brought it as carry on. Security didn't even open the bag after going through x-ray, both to and return flights. I flew...

    Video quality question

I get the same issue with the gimbal roll on my videos (horizon rolling instead of being flat horizontal). It's very annoying, and mine is a lot worse than yours. Even a slight tap on the roll or attempting to turn, the gimbal moves before the drone actually does. I thought it was a problem with...

    The obsession with increasing distance...

It's also probably related to RC output power as well. And having a drone is being able to see beyond than what you can normally see. From above and from a distance. What's the point of only being able to fly to the end of a field, when you can just see with your naked eye, although from ground...

Simple hack to protect propellers in carry bag

The Spark propellers can move about in the carry bag, and I am always worried it might get scratched or bent. Especially when I stuff the propeller guards in the bag too when I first got my Spark. You can buy rigid plastic thingy to hold it in place for a few dollars on eBay. But I came up with...

    First long distance flight

I furthest was a bit over 1km away, 52m up. Just flew until loss of transmission and RTH kicks it. First time is always scary. The higher you fly, the less interference (trees, buildings, etc) and the further away it can go before it cuts out, just make sure you follow high restrictions in the area.

    Review - eBay Props

I bought some cheap props from eBay too. The flew OK for the first week. Then all of a sudden, it would have trouble taking off, had trouble hovering in place and landing. I had a friend who held it for me while I spin the props and he said one of the motors felts like it was vibrating a lot...
