What did you chose and how did you get on? I'm also struggling to use the spark - the go 4 app is hopeless on my phone for monitoring (and crashes often too.) I'm only really interested in footage and occasional photos so need decent monitoring. Will buy a dedicated device if it helps but...

Easily the best free option is currently Da Vinci Resolve. It's a serious editor - takes a while to come to grips with it. But the free version has almost everything in the paid version, and it's getting more fully featured with each iteration. Worth a look - if you intend to do enough editing...

Get a spark and accessories and throw in a tello for fun :) (and to learn - just had my first crash, no worries drone ok and very glad it wasn't the spark!)

I'm new too and enjoying the spark. Would love to get 25fps but the footage otherwise is quite usable (I make videos for a living.) Would love an mavic air for the 100mbs 4k but this will do fine as a starter. FWIW some might consider it a plaything and a holiday drone - I'm still not seeing it...
