This seemed to be the issue. I now use a tablet and it works better.

I have a hard time connecting my RC to my phone and spark drone. It almost never connects with wifi and now if I try to connect using cord it completely shuts down my Galaxy S8. I have to connect it to a charger before I can reboot it. The only way I have to fly my drone is with just the phone...

I lost ability to fly in NFZ today. Screen promps me to unlock on my own and when I enter my phone number it says it sent me a code number but I never receive it.
