forgot to mention, once you have connected the drone to your phone, you have to then reconnect the controller as it thinks you now want to use your phone, and defaults to phone setting until you revert back to controller.

Another way is by powering up the drone, and then press and hold the power button until you hear the 3 beep, then try and connect as the the drone should be discoverable and connect

Makes for a very interesting watch.....better start saving my pennys!

I got caught with these copies, Don't think they are polar pro originals mate, I made the mistake (as stated in a previous blog) that i purchased some "Cheap / Bargain" filters. They turned out to be heavier, poor materials and shoddy assembly than the originals, that i purchased following...

Did you buy it new? Given everything you've tried i'd say it's sounding more like a physical glitch i.e missing tooth in a cog mechanism and is going to need (if under guarantee) to be sent back and sorted / replaced to uphold the warranty.
