    Cautions with Litchi?

Before I let Litchi fly a mission, I make a copy of the mission and set the mission speed to 0. If the mission uses POIs, I disable them so I can control the camera. I then fly the test mission letting Litchi follow the waypoints, while I control the speed. I go very slowly when near any...

Is atti mode something to be scared of?

I installed the old version of Assistant on my laptop and left the official version on a desktop. That way I can use the official one for most tasks and have the old version readily available to tweak the Spark wherever I am. I found practicing with ATTI to be invaluable. The Spark will move...

What is your experience using the Litchi app with the Spark?

A friend of mine tried to use Litchi at a field about 1.5 miles from the airport (Class C controlled airspace). He is a part 107 pilot and used Airmap to get authorization to fly. When he tried to take off using Litchi, it would not let him. When he took off with Go4, it asked him to confirm...

DJI Spark, Spark Controller & Samsung Note 9 compatibility

Android devices and updates come out so often that list will always be out of date. I have been using the Note 9 (but not pie) with great success.

    Flying in Fog or Mist

I've navigated boats with GPS for years and have never noticed fog or rain to make a noticeable difference in the GPS signal. I have often been in fog so thick you could not see beyond the bow of the boat, but the GPS was dead on. Mist and fog will, however, definitely screw up the VPS sensor..

Cell3 is marginal in 3 different packs (all new) - coincidence?

I have four batteries and all four behave as you described. The deviations on mine are always minor, but always in cell 3. I have also had the same behavior with the same batteries on two different Sparks.

    OTG & Note 9 Issues

My Note 9 works fine with an OTG cable. (and I don't have Developer mode or USB debugging turned on). Make sure you're using the right cable. Here's the one I got.

    Litchi and Red Waypoint question

I bought Litchi for Android on the Google Play store and it works on all my Android devices. I also paid for Litchi for the iPad on the Apple App store. Litchi for the PC is just a website (flylitchi.com) with the mission hub planner.

    VLM users

Under Google Earth options, select the 3D View tab, go to the terrain section and set the 'Elevation Exaggeration' to 1. If this is set to .01, everthing will appear flat.

    Waypoints

With Litchi the mission is uploaded to the Spark and will continue even if the RC is loses connection. However, any changes to the gimbal that are part of the mission won't happen while the RC is disconnected.

OTG + Android (Google Pixel specifically)

I'm using a Note 9 now, but I had been flying with a Pixel XL for several months and I did have that happen one time. Other than that one time, it performed very well.

I swallowed my pride and got an iPad.

I tried a Pixel XL and a Nexus 6P with mixed results. The Pixel worked well, but sometimes had trouble connecting to wifi (when using Litchi). I tried my wife's iPhone 7+ and it was definitely better. The experience was smooth and trouble free. We were both going to upgrade phones before the...
