It seems I remember wrong. Ouch. The litchi app certaionly said compass error. The log does not mention it. Here it is. From the farthest waypoint, it should have gone straight back, but suddenly turned right and met a tree.

The only features I use are focus mode and panorama (with litchi). Otherwise I fly manually. The go app I only use for firmware updates.

Really no changes for iphone users?

I use a very simple way with free software and no manual fiddling at all: 1) Stitch the 46 photos with autostitch or dji media maker. 2) Edit the result in photoscape X. Click “transformations", and then the "tiny planet" icon. The rotation angle can optionally be changed before applying. Done.

It sounds like button presses don’t reach the spark. Something with the battery data lines? Do the motor LEDs turn on? There are several dissassembly/teardown guides out there. I guess you already have checked those. And will be very careful with the tiny flat cables. I’m sorry I can’t do better.

The switch-on procedure is not just holding the button in.

The latest update to droneblocks says “Waypoints for spark!”. I have not tried it. Update: I now have tried droneblocks. It works, but there is a delay between each command, and calculating how big angles and distances should be, can be fiddly.

ATTI mode itself is not scaring. The scary thing is that the pilot never knows when it suddenly will switch into atti mode. Often, I would feel more safe if I could force ATTI mode, so I don’t get it as a surprise.

I suggest using sport mode and be light on the sticks. At least avoid tripod mode. Because if it looses vps track and goes to atti mode, the speed increases many times with no warning. Atti mode is over 15 times faster than tripod mode (pretty surprising). It won’t go higher than 5 meters...
