I did read about that, what a bummer. I usually stay within the football field regardless when flying with CAVU, I was paranoid to fly longer distance without using the DJI software.

I didn't run into a restriction when I flew with CAVU that I knew of, but I don't think I understand what you mean by "CE power restriction".

The one time it disconnected it covered in place, I walked towards it and the controller reconnected without incident. My brother in law had just armed his drone next to me, can't verify but I think it gave me just enough interference to lose signal.

CAVU has been more reliable then the DJI GO 4 app by far, my only disconnect was caused by the the controller itself losing connection with the Spark. I do have an Android, from what I have read the DJI App is more stable on Apple devices. Sports Mode was where its at! I had a blast with this...

Didn't have one that I could tell, I was flying in a football field so I know at least over 100 yards. I was able to fly farther then with the DJI goggles until I discovered if you connect phone, then goggles, it takes off the 50 meter limit.

It depends on what you want to do honestly. Spark looks alot like a kids toy drone, to date I have never had a negative reaction when people see me flying. I've heard with the Mavic and other larger drones, people tend to get a bit uneasy when your flying an intimidating drone with a larger 4k...

Did a few flights the other day and confirmed this works, thanks! On the plus side, when I let my kiddo or new pilots fly the spark, it works as a safety net leaving that 50 meter geofence up, lowers my blood pressure just a tad when sharing my beloved drone with others.

Any updates if the above steps worked? I had the same issue today flying the spark with my new DJI RE Goggles. Analog with my racing drone worked great. I did confirm the 50 meter limit is happening with latest available firmware.
