Considering the remote is $150, and a second battery $50, just those two items pay for the fly more combo. Things like the bag and prop guards are just a little bonus.

I have to agree. Before I got my Spark, I got an inexpensive non-GPS quad to practice with. I also have an inexpensive GPS drone as well. It's definitely a different animal to fly with automatic stabilization. It definitely helped me with learning how to control them. I haven't had any issues...
