That day was windless, but it may be possible that we had a slight wind in altitude. That would explain it.

Good point. Did not try myself, but a YouTuber proved that sport mode is more economical on the battery.

Only relying on the remote camera

I recently broke my distance record. I never had the guts to try it before. I climbed a small Hill near my home place in order to have a radio line of sight. No wind. Then sent the uav away until I reached 1.8km at 100m high. When signal quality was iffy, I turned around and barely made it back...

Did you try to hold the uav pointing to the floor, so the gimbal looks straight ahead when you put the cap on?

Funny. My tab4 8in never worked. I even reset it to factory settings. Still no go. The app crashes when it usually goes from portrait to landscape

I am not saying it is perfect. But I can fly 10 minutes and as high as before. With the same manoeuverability. It not that invasive. Most important, is to be able to recover it if it falls. Two months in now and no bad luck yet
