Yes took my test and paid my money on the 5th. The test was very easy, just read the guidelines and you'll be fine. I read the guidelines a couple of years ago and passed without revising. I don't fly often but it's cheap and it makes sense to be legal.
You couldn't fly outside with the prop guards in any case without registration as it would take it well over 250g, which would negate the benefits of buying it,
I think what needs to be born in mind is there is only 1gm wriggle room for even adorning it with stickers. It might say 249g on the side but as soon as even light customisation is added it will beak that weight limit.
You may be right, however they are famously draconian in enforcing laws regarding crimes against the state. I think endangering air traffic would fall into that category.
I think the general consensus (a bit of a tortology ) is it's stuff like this that causes crippling constrictions. And China quite rightly has very similar laws to any other country, probably enforced with some vigour.
