Hi I have use of an indoor workshop approximately 300ft long and 60ft high which is empty.

Would it be safe to try flying inside for the first flight, in beginner mode ?

Tripod mode.

I intend to fit the prop guards and use the remote and tripod mode, I calibrated the IMU last night, should I also need to calibrate the compass in the warehouse ?

You may get a compass error message if you take off from the floor and there is rebar in the cement. Move it to a "sweet spot" where you don't get the error, or just hand-launch.

DONT calibrate teh compass in the warehouse! Odds are, you will get a major error with all the rebar in the building.

Just flown the drone, took it slow take and land a few times, just to get the feel of the sticks, then started flying forwards turning in big circles while climbing and lowering, tried tripod mode, then had a little go at sport mode, jeez it seems fast, first impressions are great
