Hi all, I am new to the Spark and learning how to use the Droney skill. My question is; when the Spark performs the Droney flight and reverses, can the return flight be video recorded? If not, does a swoop down to a target depend only on the skill of the pilot? Thanks.

What's a "Droney flight"?
A Droney flight is a AI flight built into the Dji Go 4 app it is a built-in setting where found in the same place you find the rocket, circle, helix, tripod, quick shot. In this mode, you set a distance and the drone flies away from you backward going out and up, videoing until it reaches the distance that you have set. It then stops videoing and returns to the point it was launched from. In this mode, you can get some good footage but the pilot must be aware of the distance they have input as this is where many pilots have crashed their drones. Since the drone is flying backward and there is not rear facing sensor pilots have mistakenly flown their drones into trees or buildings sample video

Thanks all for your replies. I have tried several times to video the return and can not get it to record. However, thank you dijkvaneenjoost for the suggestion to do it in post processing.
That worked.

That worked.

Just make sure you do not capture someone walking or a car driving in the dronie you want to reverse :D
