OK. I think Brian might know what a “wag” is as he, like me, is old enough to remember it’s old meaning. My copy of the Oxford Dictionary published in 1969 and given to us as a wedding present in 1971, says “A mischievous boy (often as a term of endearment).....”. I think it sums Brian up pretty well and hope this helps you, our good American friend.
