My iPad Air fits nicely in the RC Jaws in portrait , however it appears the app will only open in landscape, please can you advise if there is an option to enable me to rotate to portrait. Thank you

DJI Go 4 app is landscape only. You will need to rotate the tablet instead.
To use a full size iPad you can buy a tablet mount. More secure and better balanced than RC jaws as well.
