Hey all

Belgium authorities have changed their regulations for the use of UAV's
Most important change (for visitors) is that you basically can bring your drone to Belgium and actually fly it legally.
The major change is that UAV's with a maximum weight of <1kg can now fly to a maximum of 10 meters agl.
Previously, this was only allowed in your own private space (like your garden).
It looks like they are complying more with European rules although the elevation is still "only" 30" where e.g. in Holland it's 120 meters (non commercial)

Attached is a map with the official Belgium airspace and their restrictions

Great to see the rules are changing and it is now possible to fly outside private property.
I was in Belgium a while ago, bummed that I couldn't fly my Spark there.
I live in Holland and indeed it's 120m
To bad Belgium still has it at 10m, but better than nothing I guess

Remark that for Belgian residents nothing has changed.
For recreational use you still need a permit to fly in public space....
