New software won't update

Every time I try to update the new software it stops at 5 percent and my remote control disconnects.

You cannot update the remote control via PC.
Wifi only through the app.

Try to downgrade the version and syncronize the rc. You may find the previous version of installer file at pureapk.com. Then upgrade it.

The update is for the aircraft only as far as I can tell. I update my spark connected to the pc via dji assistant 2 and it worked. There was no warning to update the RC at the time or after updating. I've flown since with no issues or warnings to update.
