I agree Ben on the newbie not making any changes. But again, I don’t make changes either. Don’t see the need.
The optimum settings are based on signal strength. I worked for apple for about 2 years in tech support and learned that these devices leave little guesswork to the user.

If you buy an antenna dedicated to a freq like 5.8 I see manually setting it, we'll see how that works next week I get the Titan Control 5.8 antenna Friday

Just beware that if you live in the dc area it will not work
