Updating everything

Greetings! OK, so I have not flown my Spark in a long while and I want to update everything that needs to be updated before I do. I am using an iPad Mini 4 with cellular but not using the cellular function. If I have my Spark connected to the iPad, then I can't connect to my home WiFi at the same time. I had installed updates before with my Android phone but this is the first time doing this with the iPad. How do I get both the Spark and the iPad connected to the internet at the same time? I do have the DJI Assistant 2 on my laptop but it gives me an error message about not being able to update.

And I have never updated my controller or batteries as well. I don't know how to do that either. I have looked online for a guide on this but I'm not finding any information that covers all of this. I need some help please. Thanks.

You'll have to switch back and forth between the WiFi's.

Download updates via home WiFi, switch to the Spark WiFi and install the updates.

I have the assistant on my PC but never used it as the switching procedure seems to work.

You'll get a prompt half way after downloading the update to install on the Spark, before clicking "OK", minimize the screen and switch to the Spark WiFi, then click the button to install.

Bluetooth tethering is also a way to get a internet connection while remote and spark are connected. But its a slow connection. Maybe try Spark 317 way first.
