The maximum wind speed that the drone can tolerate is determined by the tilt limits that are set in the parameters section of the drone's firmware. The amount of tilt is what ultimately triggers the high wind warning. I believe the default limits are 20 degrees in normal mode and 35 degrees in atti or sport mode. Wind speeds that require more than the tilt limits to overcome will result in unwanted downwind drifting and possible loss of the drone. Emergency braking will tilt up to 50 degrees, but that is the only exception. Andre Levite's recommendation to use UAV Forecast before flying is the best information you are likely to get on this subject. I never, that is NEVER EVER, fly without checking UAV Forecast. There are a lot of days I don't fly, but I am grateful to be able to say, "I still have all of the drones I am supposed to have."
