I've had my Spark about a month now. I've been flying in mostly open fields and I still put the guards on before I fly. Kinda chicken I guess, but figure they will help if I do screw up. Glad your flight turned out OK. I would also recommend maybe flying in Tripod mode for awhile...it slows...

61 here (tomorrow)...I wanted an Air, but didn't have the donaro, so I got a Spark and I don't regret it. It's a blast to fly and has great video and still shots.

I tried tripod mode for the first time the other day. There was a slight breeze blowing and with tripod mode engaged, my spark just flew away with the wind..I exed out of tripod mode (in the app) and was able to continue flying. Still this a good mode for beginner pilots.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've been flying my spark quite a bit and really like it.

Got my new Spark last week. Have had it out a for a couple flights. I really like the little drone so far. Looking forward to being here.
