I've usually had range problems with my Spark and frequent image transmission signal loss. Even in open flat ground, I have such problems. So I don't fly too far and anyway, the battery is not as long as my Mavic Pro's so I use the Spark when I want to quickly get a shot of something nearby.

Very good tips, thank you. Will keep them in mind. I have occasional signal loss but have come to feel assured that RTH will bring the drone home. Only thing is to not push the limits on battery life so that there's enough to fly back and descend.

I would not want to use a battery that has been immersed in water, even if it seems to return to normal. I know those batteries cost money but I try to minimise risks of failure where possible.

Haven't had that problem though I have had one problem when I used a certain type of landing skid. I think it blocked the sensor beam in some way and I kept getting an error message.
