    OTG - just not needed...

Fellow Aussie here. Sorry, but that video feed is dismal. I’ve never had a feed even a tenth that bad. But I’ve always used an OTG... Also, not sure I’m a fan of your distance test over a heavily populated area like that. And I suspect neither would CASA...

Isn't dronie suppose to be at a 45' angle?

Mine has never done 45'. But it seams to elevate on a curve. Starts flat and climbs harder towards the end of the move. Maybe beginning at 15' eventually hitting 30ish... I've assumed that behaviour was why everyone thought their AC weren't climbing at all...

    Rotation issue

Not yet, DL. I've done all of the calibrations suggested above except compass, which I'll do at launch site. I haven't had a chance to get down to the park and give it a fly yet. Hoping to do it tomorrow. I'll let you all know if it's resolved.

    Rotation issue

Thanks, delovelady. I hadn't considered that. Makes sense though. I'll give that a go too.

    Rotation issue

I've generally been in the middle of a football field. But I'm "only" calibrating once per session which is once or twice a week. This doesn't feel like a compass issue though. It's holding its vertical and lateral position perfectly. It just rotates to the right...

    Rotation issue

I was looking over on the official DJI forum, there's a few reports of this. DJI rep said to calibrate the compass (as suggested here) or/and the IMU. I'll try the latter tomorrow.

    Rotation issue

I do a compass calibration every time start a flying session. Should it need to be done for each battery, surely not?

    Rotation issue

I've noticed my Spark has started rotating to the left, and it's been gradually getting worse. This is in zero to low wind conditions either under control or with no fingers on the sticks. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to recalibrate something or is it a blade or motor issue? Thanks in advance!

Seriously considering returning the Spark (Not anymore!)

I don't think anyone in the thread is denying there's a problem. Just some of us are suggesting the scale of that problem isn't a wide as the internet forums would have you believe.

Seriously considering returning the Spark (Not anymore!)

As Rocco said above, any forum is going to be a hotspot for complaints. Simply because where else do people go when looking for answers. If the unofficial list has 50 "dead birds" on it, then that's a tiny percentage of the tens of thousands of these things that would have been produced. And of...

    Max Speed in Sports Mode

Hit 51.4km/h (32mph) today in sport mode

    Sooo,.....letting her go!!

I must say, I'm also massively disappointed with the gesture mode. It was what I bought the Spark for and still haven't had it work yet. Controlling directly with the phone is diabolical, and borderline dangerous. The RC works well, however, providing you use an OTG cable. It's a bloody long way...

Controls lost during low battery warning

Yeah, that's definitely its key selling point. Even in comparison to the Mavic, people don't seem to be at all perturbed by it due to its toy-like size.

Controls lost during low battery warning

It was. And just after it triggered, it lost directional control. Everything else worked (rec start/stop etc), but no axis input responses.
