Isn't dronie suppose to be at a 45' angle?

I have the latest software and firmware on my spark and controller but when I do a dronie it basically just flies straight back. I'm not even sure it it elevates at all while it's moving back. I can achieve the angle I want by simply pushing up all the way on the left stick and down all the way on the right stick to get that 45' angle I want but the point is it's suppose to be automated.

Mine has never done 45'. But it seams to elevate on a curve. Starts flat and climbs harder towards the end of the move. Maybe beginning at 15' eventually hitting 30ish...

I've assumed that behaviour was why everyone thought their AC weren't climbing at all...

I tried Dronie Mode for the first time today. It went backwards and up about 45 degrees as expected.
