I know it's a bit late after the horse has bolted, so to speak, but I got one of those GPS tracking tiles $39 and stuck it on the top in the middle of the props just in case it decides to go AWOL. Hasn't happened as yet...

You haven't accidentally plugged in the charge cable upside down at some point and bent the pins in the remote? Very easy to do as the pin is not in the centre of the hole... Just a thought

Ahhh wouldn't it be good if one could use the P4 or P4P+ controller with the Spark simply by having the option to select Spark, P4 or Mavic from a drop down list like on the Go app? Surely it wouldn't be difficult to achieve through a firmware update?

Last DJI Go 4 update wrecked my OTG connection. I have a Galaxy Note 8 and was using the OTG with no issues, updated the app and now it shows camera view but no satellites, no battery, no camera settings, nothing. Unplug the OTG and use it via bluetooth and everything works... Uninstalled it...

Not difficult to disable the geofencing or restricted zones in DJI drones, then you can fly it anywhere you like

Not sure why you're having issues connecting, to Go4 app I assume? I can have my Spark connected and up in the air in 2 minutes, quicker with the OTG cable. Put phone into 'airplane mode' so there's no interference and away you go!

I have always had an Android device (Samsung Galaxy Note 4) and never had any trouble with Go4 app, updates or anything. Must be lucky I guess, when there's an update it just downloads the update and updates the Spark and/or controller via wifi. It's really cool and so simple. Surprised to hear...

I sometimes fly my Spark without the app/phone just to whizz around and have a bit of fun, but I do restrict the distance/altitude so I can keep an eye on it. Problem is, like others have stated, you can't see what you're recording or taking pics of which kinda defeats the purpose.

LOL... You can see your Spark 500ft away? I'd better get my eyes checked... 100ft up and 150ft away I can hear it but often 'lose' it in the sky ha ha!

OTG cables are not officially supported by the DJI app, so it can be a bit hit or miss as to whether they work or not. Most people don't seem to have issues, sometimes mine works, sometimes it doesn't. I rarely fly my Spark more than 400-500m away, so I haven't had any video streaming issues...

Maybe it was heading 'home' to China! I'm not kidding, did you set the RTH home point? I have heard of this happening with brand new drones, if the home point is not set it could try to return home to it's last known location.
